CentreGold Plc was a holding company set up when games developer and publisher U.S. Gold purchased distribution company CentreSoft. It acquired Core Design in 1994.
CentreGold was then acquired by Eidos Interactive in April 1996[1]. Eidos would subsequently sell CentreSoft, with the U.S. Gold brand fading out of use in the latter half of the 1990s.
