Unnecessary Roughness is an American football game released in late 1993 for IBM PC compatibles. A Sega Mega Drive version was advertised, but was not released.

Though the game would miss its original deadline, its update, Unnecessary Roughness '95 would appear on Sega's system, and is likely built on this version of the game.
