Sega World Drivers Championship (SWDC) is an arcade racing game by Sega based on the Super GT license. The game was built using Unreal Engine 4[1].

It is the first arcade game to combine to combine local multiplayer with nationwide online play. Previously arcade games either just allowed to be played locally with mutliple cabinets, or a single cabinet connects to the internet. Up to 45 players can participate in one race.

Development

SWDC was location tested at Sega Akihabara and Sega Ikebukuro GiGO between the 28th and 30th of July, 2017[2].
