xm3smps is a program created by Nineko that converts songs from the XM (eXtended Module) format to the SMPS (Sample Music Playback System) format hence allowing hackers to easily put custom music in their hacks. It runs under Microsoft Windows and obsoletes its previous MS-DOS incarnation, xm2smps.
The addition of a new GUI and some new features make it much better and much more usable than its predecessor. However, despite its colorful look, it's actually xm2smps in a wig, since the main conversion code is exactly the same.
It has been officially discontinued since no one really cares about it, as it's probably the most useless converter ever made.
