Universal Interactive, formerly Universal Interactive Studios until 2002, was a video game publisher and subsidiary of Universal Studios. It was originally set up in 1994, and is perhaps best known for bringing the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon series to the PlayStation console.

In 2000, Universal Studio's parent company Seagram sold its entertainment divisions to French conglomorate, Vivendi, becoming Vivendi Universal. Vivendi, already owning several video game companies under Havas Interactive, merged Universal Interactive into Havas Interactive to create Vivendi Universal Publishing. During this period, Universal Interactive was used merely as a brand name.

Vivendi sold Universal Studios to General Electric in 2003, but retained what was left of the games division. In 2006 the Universal name was dropped from the remainder of Vivendi's businesses, and the games divisions consolodated as Vivendi Games.
