The Protector, known as Jackie Chan in The Protector in the title screen or just as Protector (プロテクター), is an action game, originally developed and published by Pony for the MSX computers in November 1985. It is based on the movie of the same name and it features the likeness of Jackie Chan plus the licenses of Golden Harvest Group and Toho-Towa. It was released on Europe by several companies on cassette tape and floppy disks formats, as opposed to the original ROM cartridge format release in Japan.
The MSX version received an unlicensed port for the Sega Master System in South Korea, appearing in several mulitcarts.
