Stack Columns is an entry in the Columns series, released for Sega System C arcade hardware in 1994.
Stack Columns was never ported to a home platform, though was re-released as part of the Columns Arcade Collection pack for the Sega Saturn.
Gameplay
Gameplay in Stack Columns is mostly identical to that seen in "regular" Columns, however with a stronger focus on competitive play. Stack Columns introduces the "stack", which (assuming beginner mode is not chosen) is built up after combos. Pressing when a stack is present allows you to "attack" an enemy, causing him or her's pile to rise close to the top. The higher the stack, the more damage is done.
