Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is an action adventure game developed by Silicon Knights for the Sony PlayStation. A version was also in development for the Sega Saturn, but was never released. Its sequel, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, was released for the Dreamcast.

Reportedly the Saturn port of the game was finished, but initially delayed as Silicon Knights were unable to find a publisher[2]. By early 1997 is had found on in Activision, however Activision did not see a Saturn port as financially viable and so axed its development[3]. Several years later, Electronic Gaming Monthly reported that the Saturn version was developed first and ran smoother than the PlayStation version[4].
