4x4 Evolution, also known as 4x4 Evo, is a racing game for Sega Dreamcast as well as PC and Macintosh released in 2000 by Gathering of Developers and developed Terminal Reality. It is notable for allowing online play between all three versions at the same time, and is one of the few online-enabled games that can still be played online in the present. This Dreamcast version was a North American exclusive, despite it being advertised on European magazine ads as well as mentioned on the region's boxes of the PC and Mac releases. The Online portion of the game is still online via Private Servers and can be used with the DreamPi [2] It was followed by 4x4 EVO 2 in 2001, although this did not reach Dreamcast.
