DISTRIBUIDORA DE ARTICULOS MODERNOS S.A. de C.V. SEGA DE MEXICO (DISAM) is a Mexican company

Relations with Sega

Not much is known about when this company was founded, but in 1991 it became the main distributor of the SEGA consoles in Mexican territory. The consoles came to distribute the Sega Master System model I and II , Sega Mega Drive (Genesis), Sega Game Gear , for a short period also Sega Mega CD and Sega 32X before its closure in 1995.

It is worth mentioning that many of the sega games in Mexican territory were the US versions, however when the master system arrived, titles in Spanish imported from the PAL versions were also distributed to save costs and translations similar to the case of Portugal with Tectoy games.

However, it is unknown which company distributed the dreamcast and sega saturn

Its headquarters were located in Mexico City at the following address: ACUEDUCTO RIO HONDO No.30 LOMAS VIRREYES DE CHAPULTEPEC 11000, MEXICO D.F

At the present time in the last years there is an official distributor of SEGA in Mexico that is dedicated mainly to the titles for modern consoles.
