Karate Blazers is a 1991 arcade beat-'em-up game developed by Video System. A port to the Sega Mega Drive was in production, set to be published by Video System's US subsidiary, Mc O'River, but was cancelled for unknown reasons.
The game reportedly appeared at Winter CES 1992[1][2] (and possibly Summer CES 1991) and was listed by several retailers in the US before disappearing at some point in 1992. Only one screenshot has been found, showing Akira (or "Akila")'s portrait in presumably the introduction sequence[3].
In Japan the game was released in the arcades as Toushin Blazers (闘神ブレイザーズ), though no evidence has been found to suggest a home version was planned in that region (and in fact, no home versions of the game have ever been released).
