Kixx was a budget label of U.S. Gold, established in late 1988. It was initially envisioned as a means of re-releasing U.S. Gold's home computer game library (on compact cassette) in the United Kingdom at the budget price of £2.99, but would later branch into other formats and prices, including the Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear.
In addition to re-releasing software from U.S. Gold, Kixx was also given the license to re-release software from other publishers, such as MicroProse. A newer label, "Kixx XL" would be launched in 1992, selling primarily PC games at a higher price than "regular" Kixx, but below the original RRP.
