Surfer (サーファー) is an electro-mechanical arcade game produced by Sega and released in 1977.[3][4] The object of the game is to launch a ball onto the playfield, which simulates a wavy sea, trying to survive the three waves and light the three white flags on the left by hitting them with the ball in order to win a pack of caramels as a prize (such as the pack of Milky®[5] seen in the official flyer[6], a popular brand of condensed milk candy[7][8] manufactured by Japanese confectionery company Fujiya Co. Ltd. since 1951[9]).

The cabinet could store approximately fifty packs of caramels with a size within the range of 13 cm x 6 cm to 7 cm x 4 cm[10].
