The Freedom Star is an unreleased conversion of the 1988 arcade game P-47: The Phantom Fighter (also known as P-47: The Freedom Fighter and P47 Thunderbolt) for the Sega Mega Drive. It is thought this would have been the first game published by Jaleco on a Sega system, with the game being close to completion before being "postponed" for unknown reasons.
While the full game was not released, its music was included as part of the 2015 album Super Rom Cassette Disc in Jaleco. City Connection would later release a complete version of the game for once on March 2025 in Japan, as P-47 II MD[1][2].
