Competition Pro

I don't understand this at all. All I'm trying to do is find correct names for third-party controllers but with such a rich history of awkwardness I have no clue what's going on. "Competition Pro" isn't a company but since I don't know who owned the brand, I don't want to start making pages for companies which don't matter.

One issue is that I'm pretty sure the Professional Control Pad Series II was built by Honey Bee. But I'm not sure Honey Bee actually had much to do with the "original" Professional Control Pad (Mega Drive). There's a few of these things on the Master System and Saturn too - completely different to the Competition Pro Star which was built in the UK, yet... sold with the same branding. And all the scans and photos out there are crap and even though this is supposedly one of the most popular joystick ranges of the 80s, nobody has written down the history in any great detail (I might shove it on Wikipedia myself once I'm certain about what went on)
