The Everdrive family is a series of cartridges which allow ROMs to be played from SD cards on original hardware. Cartridges produced so far are the Everdrive-MD (Sega Mega Drive), Master Everdrive (Sega Master System), Everdrive GG (Sega Game Gear), Super Everdrive (Super Nintendo) and EverDrive 64 (Nintendo 64). The carts are manufactured by Ukrainian developer KRIKzz and sold by various international distributors. They are sold as PCBs only, meaning the buyer must provide their own plastic case by gutting another cartridge. However some distributors include these with the sale, as well as extras like a clamshell case and an SD card.
Everdrive-MD
The Mega Drive cartridge is capable of running every Mega Drive game (including the 6MB Super Street Fighter II) except Virtua Racing, which used an additional processor in the game's cartridge. It can also run 32X and Master System games, and has a pause button on the top of the cartridge for the latter. Game ROMs are loaded from an SD card into the Everdrive's memory via a simple text menu. A ROM will remain in memory until another replaces it, even if the console is switched off. SRAM game saves can also be loaded to and from the SD card.
Master Everdrive
The Master System version can run Master System and SG-1000 games up to 1MB in size. It uses SD cards in the same way as the Everdrive-MD, and the cartridge has an optional mini USB port for transferring ROMs via USB cable (though only while the cart is plugged into the console).
Everdrive GG
The Game Gear Everdrive runs Game Gear and Master System games up to 1MB. It loads ROMs from a micro SD card and has an optional USB port.
