Pochi to Nyaa (ポチッとにゃ~) is a 2002 puzzle game by Compile for the NAOMI GD-ROM. It is Compile's final game; they fell bankrupt shortly after completion. Since then, spinoff Aiky ported the game to the PlayStation 2 and the Neo Geo arcade system.
The Japanese Wikipedia page on the game suggests that this NAOMI version was likely not released due to Compile's bankruptcy; what the situation exactly is is unknown. [1]
The game is remarkably similar to Puyo Puyo — two multi-colored icons fall from the top of a well which can be moved around and rotated in their fall, and when four or more of the same color touch, they disappear from the well — however not immediately. One button changes the falling blocks — either pochi or nya — into "spiky" versions of the two; only when a spiky version touches a non-spiky version do they disappear. By taking advantage of this to build large clears with branches ("tails"), you can inflict massive damage on the opponent in the exact same way nuisance puyo work, except that the number of nuisance ("") depends on the number of pieces in each "tail."
