Argos no Juujiken (アルゴスの十字剣) is an arcade game developed by Tecmo which was ported to the Sega Master System by Salio. Western users know the game as Rygar, however the Master System port was not released outside of Japan. This is one of two Master System games to be published by Salio.
At the time of release, the Master System version of Argos no Juujiken was the only home port of the game available to Japanese consumers, with a Famicom version sharing similar gameplay traits and settings, but overhauling levels and key elements of the game's design to produce a very different product. This would continue to be case until 1994 when a Sharp X68000 version was released.
The Master System Argos no Juujiken cuts the end of level sequences and instead abruptly cuts to the next stage.
