Windsor series

A Windsor Vegas.

The Windsor series describes the "fourth generation" of slot machines manufactured by Sega as a successor to the Continental series . There are many machines in this group with slightly different rulesets, however what binds them is a largely standardised shell and internal workings. It is thought these models debuted in the late 1960s or early 1970s.

The Windsor series was designed in response to changes in the market and keep Sega at the cutting edge. It again offers a refactored design allowing for easier maintenance and customisability. These were among the last slot machines to be built by Sega - by the time they were released the company was experimenting with electro-mechanical arcade games, which would become the preferred choice of entertainment moving forward.
