Sega used the name Puyo Pop for several Puyo Puyo games released outside Japan:
- the Neo Geo Pocket Color port of Puyo Puyo Tsu
- Puyo Pop (GBA), called Minna de Puyo Puyo in Japan
All other Puyo Puyo games released outside Japan also use the Puyo Pop moniker in their names; for instance Puyo Pop Fever.
