SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 1999--

The 6-ton military assault truck and two all-terrain vehicles in the "Sega(R) Dreamcast(TM) Mobile Assault Tour" are headed to the frontline for a video game revolution.

Destination: Los Angeles. Mission: give consumers hands-on training with Sega Dreamcast, the most advanced video game system and games ever developed, from Sega of America.

Following is tour information for Los Angeles:

-- Venice Beach, Aug. 24-27, and Sept. 3
-- Will Rogers Beach, Sept. 5

The "Sega Dreamcast Mobile Assault Tour" is crossing the country for 22 weeks hitting more than 200 popular consumer venues in major U.S. cities. More than 50 million consumers will see, hear or play Sega Dreamcast on the national "Sega Dreamcast Mobile Assault Tour."

The tour vehicles were custom-designed to be able to invade almost any mass consumer location. Local market attacks begin with the arrival of the 6-ton, 46-foot "assault" truck. When the truck's back hatch is opened, two all-terrain vehicles drive out, turning any location into a gaming arena with 16 playable Sega Dreamcast systems.

Partnering with Sega on the tour is IGN.com, the leading Internet destination for games and entertainment information.
