Midway Games West, Inc. was a continuation of Time Warner Interactive, renamed as such when WMS Industries purchased the division (and Atari Games) from Time Warner in 1996.
In 1998. WMS Industries spun-off Midway Games as a separate company, taking Midway Games West with it. Atari Games would be merged into the division in January 2000.
Reduced sales saw Midway Games West be closed in 2003, with its assets being merged into the "main" Midway Games.
