Sega Touring Car Championship is a Sega Model 2C CRX arcade racing game developed by Sega AM3 in 1996. It is similar to Sega Rally Championship in design, however uses touring cars rather than rally cars and proved to be far less successful in the marketplace.
Like Sega Rally, Sega Touring Car Championship offers three "rounds" (plus a qualifying lap). The player competes against seven other cars for first place. Selectable cars include an AMG Mercedes C-Class, Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti, Toyota Supra and Opel Calibra V6. Sega Touring Car Championship is based on the 1995 Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft, with a Toyota Supra thrown in to make up the numbers.
Home ports to the Sega Saturn and Windows PC were handled by Sega AM9, and were released in 1997 and 1998 respectively. These versions include cars from the 1996 International Touring Car Championship plus, interestingly, the three cars from Sega Rally.
