Jelly Boy/Development
From Sega Retro
- Back to: Jelly Boy.
Development
Development of the Mega Drive version of Jelly Boy is presumed to have taken place around 1994 and/or 1995, with review copies being sent to the contemporary gaming press, and with the game already having receiving a good deal of magazine coverage and promotional material. Like its released versions, it was originally set to be published by Electronic Arts, and a copyright credit to the publisher remains on the dumped prototype's title screen.
In 20XX, a seemingly-complete prototype was discovered and had its ROM dumped, preserving the game and and allowing the public to experience Sega's version of Jelly Boy for the first time.
