Virtua Fighter 3tb/Bugs

From Sega Retro

Back to: Virtua Fighter 3tb.

Model 3 version

Flip the boat

As was the case in the original Virtua Fighter 3, the combined weight of two Taka-Arashis can flip the boat making up part of the arena in Shun Di's stage, leading to interesting results.

Not fixed in any version.

Dreamcast version

Flip the boat

Like the arcade version, the combined weight of two Taka-Arashis can flip the boat making up part of the arena in Shun Di's stage. If the time limit is disabled (such as in training mode), it is easier to witness its effects.

Not fixed in any version.

Incorrect shadows on sloped surfaces

Broken shadows in the Japanese version.

Fixed in Western copies.

Shadows in the Japanese version "break up" on sloped surfaces, which was not the case in the original Model 3 version. This is most noticable on Pai's stage, which takes place on a sloped rooftop (made worse by the fact the default character, Akira fights Pai first). By the time the game made it to the West the following year, the shadows had been fixed.

Fixed in Western versions.
