Other versions

Rockstar Games released a special disc for the French market, which requires the user to input a code before the game will start. The code was included on a piece of paper that shipped with the game, and was intended to help parents prevent younger children from playing. It can also be seen as a crude form of anti-piracy, though this was not thought to be the intention.

WFUSDFCF is the only code the game accepts. This screen cannot be bypassed; even if the system language isn't set to French (or is being forced to run on a non-European, non-PAL machine), the screen (in French) will appear.

The "regular" PAL disc, imported from a country that isn't France, supports French as a language and does not have this code screen.
