I. Sega játékbajnokság was the Hungarian championship in Sega games organised by Elektroház and sponsored by Békés Megyei Hírlap magazine.
Details of the event
Anyone under the age of 15 could participate in the event. In order to get to the semi-finals, the willing person had to correctly answer a few questions placed every week from March in the magazine Békés Megyei Hírlap. After submitting the questions, 10 participants plus 4 reserve players were drawn, of which only one won and was awarded a Sega Master System II worth 7,999 HUF.[1] In total, from March to May, there were 10 semi-finals with 200 participants.
The final took place on May 27, 1995 and the main prize was Sega Mega Drive worth 20,000 HUF. After the successful tournament, the store manager said that during the Elektroház Days, which will be held on June 10-18, he will have a surprise related to the Sega games.[2]
