Matching Service was Capcom's online matchmaking network for the Dreamcast, exclusively in Japan. It was used for competitive multiplayer matches over dial-up connections. Capcom ended support for it in 2004.[1]
Most of the games only supported online play between two Dreamcast consoles, but Capcom vs. SNK 2 Millionaire Fighting 2001 and Kidou Senshi Gundam: Renpou vs. Zeon & DX supported matches between Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 players.
