Timecode palette conflicts
While unintended to be seen by the public, displaying scene timecodes by holding will overwrite some palette entries in order to display the timecode. While most sprites are typically unaffected by this, the sprites for Sonic and the fish are affected by this as the timecode's palette overwrites entries that are in use by those sprites, causing them to use the wrong colours. In these cases, the black outlines on Sonic and his CDs turn white, and some of the fish's scales become black.
Not fixed in any version.
