Super Monaco GP (スーパーモナコGP) is a 1989 arcade racing game by Sega. It is the sequel to Monaco GP, but rather than being a top-down racer it has a first person view.
Sega was sued by Philip Morris over the arcade game due to unauthorised Marlboro cigarette advertisements in the game. This was also criticised as an attempt to market cigarettes to children, as many arcade users at the time were under age. Other in-game advertisments advertise Sega's earlier arcade game Flicky.
Super Monaco CP was ported to the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, Sega Game Gear, Sega Master System, Sega Mega Drive and ZX Spectrum. The Mega Drive version was highly received and offered an extra "World Championship Mode". This version of the game has since been included in numerous compilations.
