Sega Ikebukuro (セガ 池袋)[2] was a game center operated by Sega in Ikeburkuro that opened in October 2021, replacing the Sega Ikebukuro GiGO venue, which was forced to close due to termination of the site's land.
On March 9, 2022, the venue was rebranded under the GiGO name following the sale of Sega's arcade business to Genda. This was the first venue rebranded under the new name. This makes the venue one of the shortest Sega Game Centers to trade throughout Sega ownership, only lasting roughly five months.[3] The venue became known as GiGO Ikebukuro 1 (GiGO 池袋1号館) following announcements of sister GiGO arcades opening up nearby, once again replacing the previous Sega Ikabukuro venue.
