Hot-Rod
From Sega Retro

- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vitrkM8ksM8 neither does this... also yes edits are working it's just the wiki isn't spitting out error messages right now - Andlabs 18:32, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
- With games like these, a lot of the time you have to rely on manuals, such as Spanish MCM re-release, which credits both activision and software studios.
- I would hope think it's simply a case of forgetting to include this information on the title screen. World of Spectrum is very good at flagging up alternative versions of ZX Spectrum games (if they exist) and that isn't the case here. It's likely just a case of rogue developers choosing not to credit Activision (or forgetting), and nobody doing anything about it.
- All of these home computers are a confusing mess. -Black Squirrel 19:22, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
- I have been getting computer software disk sets to check things out with, but I've never had much luck with the emulators themselves (they either don't work, don't work with the file formats I've used (like VICE with C64PP .nib rips), etc.)... It's probably me failing; I might make a forum topic on doing it right later. What struck me as odd with the Hot Rod one is the lack of Activision — I don't remember them being humble in the slightest. And yeah I've noticed Spectrum seems to be more well covered on YouTube than other computers (the CPC probably comes the closest), and IIRC this Spectrum set I downloaded is all over the place with what it has... so hooray Spectrum community? - Andlabs 20:41, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
Different arcade version dates
So, when looking over the JP dates on this game, there's two names associated with cabinets: "Aero Table" and "Joy Type". Joy Type is pretty explicitly the four-player version, but Aero Table is a mystery to me. Both were released in the same week, and there's no mention of a third type--but just noting this in case there's a secondary release date that pops up. - Scarred Sun (talk) 09:56, 17 August 2019 (EDT)
- There's an Aero Table flyer with Hot-Rod artwork [1] - no good scans as of yet -Black Squirrel (talk) 10:19, 17 August 2019 (EDT)
