Apollo 13 is notable for its thirteen ball multiball mode, a number not seen on any pinball table neither before nor since (most pinball tables support between 2 and 5 balls at once, if there is a multiball mode at all).

Sega produced a version specifically for director Ron Howard, which currently resides with collectors.
