Localisation comparisons
The Korean version gets a secondary Samsung logo after the Sega one.
Different names manes different title screens across regions. The (non-Alex) character sprites have also become misaligned in the Korean version. The "push start button" text and subsequent main menu is white in the West, so is harder to read.
The introduction text was translated across versions.
The options menu has palette issues in Japan, while the Korean version is all translated.
The Western versions seem to have (accidentally?) replaced all the "M"s with "N"s, so the game defaults to "NORNAL" difficulty.
Korean version removes the Janken sound effect from the Sound Test (and indeed it is never used in-game, with the level start jingle being used in its place).
The Janken menu has been "localised" for Western audiences.
All level names were localised.
If Alex Kidd loses a Janken battle in the Japanese version, he also loses his clothes. In the West, a big weight lands on his head instead.
The same happens to your opponent.
