Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (8-bit)/Bugs
From Sega Retro
Carrying objects on slopes
If the player stands still on a slope while carrying an object, then jumps without moving and lands on even ground, Mickey will be in a state where he will have the object above his head, but will act like he is not carrying the object. This makes him unable to let go of it until he takes damage from an enemy or walks onto a slope with the object, resetting its state back to normal. If Mickey is moving left or right on the slope before jumping, this bug will not occur.
This bug exists in both the Master System and Game Gear versions.
Not fixed in any version.
Pick up a locked door
In Toyland, place the key in front of the locked door as shown in the screenshots above, stand between both the key and the door, then try to pick up the key. If timed correctly, Mickey may pick up the door instead of the key and slide into the boss' room, and will keep on sliding backwards opposite of the direction he is facing, looping whenever he slides off the screen. He will keep doing this until he either throws the door or gets hit. Once dropped, the door can get in the player's way, making the boss harder or even impossible to beat[1].
This bug exists in both the Master System and Game Gear versions.
Not fixed in any version.
