Localisation comparisons
The Western versions include a ™ symbol next to the Sega logo.
The Japanese title screen uses the font from the original Columns for the "PRESS START BUTTON" text and copyright information, and has a dot before and after the text. This font still exists in the US version, albeit unused.
The 2 vs. 2 mode was removed from the US version of the game.
The sound test offers a helpful explanation on how to use it in the Japanese version, as well as displaying song names.
