DarcNES is a Sega Master System, Game Gear, SG-1000, NES, ColecoVision and Apple II emulator for Windows, Linux and BeOS. It was written by Alastair Bridgewater (a.k.a. Nyef) primarily as a NES emulator with support for other consoles, and the last version was released on 1 April 2001.
An unofficial DOS port was written by Sephiroth, the last version of which was released on 11 July 1999. Sephiroth also released his own recompiles for Linux x86 and Power PC. Third parties have also produced ports for BeOS and Windows (before the official versions), Amiga and NetBSD.
