Eiichi Takahashi (高橋 栄一) worked at Sega of Japan and later Sega Sammy Holdings between 1979 and 2013. He is most famous for writing the lyrics to Sega's company song Wakai Chikara[2], often credited as Sega Employee. He also wrote both the lyrics and music to the campaign song Segatte Ikou!.[2][3][4] Besides his songwriting exploits, he is known to have been the manager of the Sega Amusement East Japan branch located in Wakabayashi-ku, Sendai.[2][5]

Since his retirement from Sega in 2013, Takahashi has pursued his interest in jazz & blues. His jazz interest is focused on in his blog Jazz Takahashi's Blog, while he also performs as a radio DJ on the blues-focused community station G'sky.[6]
