The Genesis 32X Sample Program[2], also known as the 32X Sample Program: Celtic PWM Sound Demo[3][4], is an internal Sega 32X sample program developed by Sega of America.[2] Included with the official Western 32X development kit as a demonstration of the sound and color capabilities of the system, it was created in 1994[2] and released to first and third-party developers in March[1] or May 1995[2].
The program contains no gameplay or animation, consisting solely of a static, high-color screen of a Celtic woman lit by firelight, with the words this is a test superimposed over the image - all while a digitized version of Star Wars' "Imperial March" plays in the background.
