Michael Jackson's Ghosts was a planned Sega Mega Drive game designed by Michael Jackson and planned to be published by Sega. Based on the 1996 short film of the same name, it was proposed by Jackson to Hisaki Nimiya around 1994 during the filming of the short. Despite the artist's desire to see his work produce a video game tie-in, the project was ultimately left undeveloped.[4] While no reason was provided for its cancellation, Jackson was accused of sexual abuse in 1993, and while Sega of Japan took no official actions on the matter, it did result in the two experiencing a "cooling period" of their relations until 1999's Space Channel 5.
