General comparisons
The title screen has slight differences from the final.
- There is no intro cutscene at booting the game.
- There is no Press Start screen.
- The art of Golden Silver was updated slightly for the final version to match its actual design.
*The "© 1993 SEGA" is printed in the bottom side of the logo itself, alongside the "1993 TREASURE".
The Options menu is placed to the right of the 1 Player option.
The Options menu also features a lot of differences.
- The big "OPTIONS" at the top of the menu is spelt as "OPTION MENU".
- The "CONFIG" option is spelt as "KEY CONFIG.".
- The color of a highlighted option was changed from cyan to yellow in the final game.
- The Options also features different music from the final, using track 95, instead of track 98 like in the final.
The prototype's sound test goes up to 9F (99 in the final game) and the S.E. Test goes up to FF (F1 in the final).
The "KEY CONFIG." menu is nonfunctional in the prototype.
The "Expert" difficulty is typed as "Maniax" in the prototype.
The boss intro text says "BOSS TIME COMING SOON", instead of "BOSS IS APPROACHING!".

- Green uses a very different, shorter design in stage 2.
Audio comparisons
- Track 84 has a few seconds of silence before it starts in the final version.
- Golden Silver's track (Sound Test 94) has preliminary instrument choices and starts with a sound effect.
- Track 9A is a track that was removed in the final version. It appears to be a test for the sound engine.
