Hardcore 4x4, known briefly in North America as TNN Motor Sports HardCore 4x4 and known as Deka Yonku: Tough the Truck (デカ四駆 タフ ザ トラック) in Japan, is an off-road racing game developed for the Sega Saturn by Gremlin Interactive. During development it was known as Gears and Guts[6].

The TNN Motor Sports license has been dropped in later re-releases of the game.

    Gameplay

Though very dated by today's standards Hardcore 4x4 was one of the first fully 3D off-road racing/driving games to feature realistic physics, with each vehicle having independent suspension. There is also a running commentary.
