MBL Research, Inc. (Mark B. Lesser Research) was a video game development studio founded by Mark B. Lesser which specialized in sports titles for Electronic Arts. Founded in 1994,[1] the studio's programmers and artists worked remotely from all over the New England area.[3]
Company
According to programmer Mark Lesser, when Electronic Arts reportedly assigned EA Canada to take over the production and development responsibilities for Sega's popular Madden franchise sometime in the early 1990s, MBL Research was awarded management of the "weaker" NHL franchise. Whether this came to fruition to any degree is currently unknown.[2]
