While neither country's flag can truly represent the concept of the English language, the United Kingdom is snubbed in the NTSC releases of the game in favour of the United States.

Hang around on the main menu for a while and a blimp will appear from the right hand side. In the NTSC versions, it can either be a sponsor for U.S. Gold or Sega, while the PAL includes a third, Coke.
