Opus Co., Ltd. (株式会社オーパス), also known as Opus Corp. and Opus Studio, was a Japanese computer software and video game developer which specialized in planning[4], music production, and sound design, especially known for their sound driver work during the 16-bit era.[1]
Company
Opus was founded on March 6, 1990 by former Goblin Sound member and company CEO Takayuki Suzuki (鈴木隆志).[1]
On April 4, 2024, Opus was forced to declare bankruptcy, citing the COVID pandemic and the resulting limits of working hours as reasons for the company's collapse.[2][3]
