Run in forced walking areas
In areas where the game forces walking (such as around enemies and traps), pressing START and leaving the pause menu on-screen curiously allows player characters to run in these areas - something which can make it significantly easier to avoid danger.[1]

Clip through obstacles
A number of attack animations moves the player character backwards a slight distance from their starting point when it concludes. By performing this attack with a character's back to any obstacle, players can easily clip through things like locked doors.[1] The following animations are:
