The city’s Solicitations Review Board has approved the application of David Forester, conductor of a youth choir, to solicit funds for a benefit performance October 19 at 1 p.m. at the International Hotel to raise $25,000 for his group. The official name of Forester's organization is the Las Vegas Boys Concert Fund, Inc.. Approval by the city is necessary because tickets to the choir's benefit performance will be sold in the city, according to Howard Crow, city license inspector. The application still must be approved by the city commission at its regular meeting next Wednesday.
