LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 1995--Namco Hometek, a leading video game publisher, announced plans Wednesday to support Sega Saturn, the next generation video game platform from industry leader Sega Enterprises Ltd.

"Cybersled," one of the biggest arcade hits of 1994, will be one of the first Namco titles available on Sega Saturn this fall.

"It is our goal to develop both original product and to enhance exciting arcade products for Sega Saturn," said Craig Erickson, Namco Hometek's director of research and development. "`Cybersled' will be the first of many titles we create for this breakthrough platform."

"Namco has an extensive library of top arcade titles which we plan to unveil on consumer platforms this year," said Yoshi Homma, president and CEO of Namco Hometek. "The Sega Saturn is a natural platform for these highly advanced and sophisticated titles."

Namco's addition to the more than 100 companies developing for Sega Saturn means even more outstanding games will be available, according to Tom Kalinske, president and CEO, Sega of America.

"Namco is one of the leading game makers in the world, and we're delighted that they are bringing their advanced games to our flagship platform. Namco has been a key part of the industry for years and we expect they'll be a key part of Sega Saturn's success."

"Cybersled" for Sega Saturn is a radically enhanced version of the action arcade game that defined the arena combat genre. The game, which is being developed by Namco Hometek's U.S. Research & Development department, features enhanced graphics and speed, plus additional characters and stages.

Namco Hometek Inc. is the U.S. consumer division of Namco Ltd., a Tokyo-based entertainment company that specializes in creating next generation game experiences for theme parks, arcades and home video games systems. Namco is a world leader in computer graphics technology, arcade hardware and simulation game design.

Sega of America is the arm of Tokyo-based Sega Enterprises Ltd. responsible for the development, marketing and distribution of Sega products in the Americas. Sega Enterprises is a nearly $4 billion company known as a leader in interactive digital entertainment media, with operations on five continents. -0-
