RENO, Nev., July 18 /PRNewswire/ -- SEGA Gaming and IGT-Australia today announced the signing of an "Assembly and Distributorship Agreement" which grants exclusive rights to IGT-Australia to assemble and distribute SEGA Gaming equipment in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

The 2-year contract provides for assembly of four SEGA Gaming products: Royal Ascot, Royal Ascot Special, Golden Night 21 and Bingo Party. The agreement was signed by Richard Shaff, Managing Director of IGT-Australia, and Douglas Sanderson, President of SEGA Gaming.

"We are very pleased with this first step in a relationship between the world's largest gaming machine manufacturer, IGT, and SEGA, the world's best-known creator of video games for the arcade and the home and, now, for innovative gaming machines," said David Hanlon, IGT President and Chief Operating Officer.

"Entering into this Distributor Agreement with IGT-Australia gives both SEGA and IGT the opportunity to penetrate the Australasian marketplace, one that is growing beyond expectations," said Sanderson. "We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with IGT."

SEGA Gaming is a division of SEGA Enterprises, Inc. (USA), an arm of the nearly $4 billion entertainment giant. IGT-Australia is a division of International Game Technology, the world's leading manufacturer of slot machines and video gaming devices.
