Interplay releases console-hit Loaded tm on Sega Saturn

Highlights include a powerful soundtrack featuring Pop Will Eat Itself

Irvine, California -- Interplay Productions announced today at the Electronics Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles the Fall release of the highly-anticipated Sega Saturn tm title Loaded tm . This power-packed version features impressive art designed by Greg Staples of 2000 A.D. and Judge Dredd fame, and is licensed by Interplay from leading U.K. publisher/developer Gremlin Interactive Ltd..

Loaded includes a fantastic soundtrack featuring the hits "R.S.V.P." and "Kick to Kill" from the British recording music sensation Pop Will Eat Itself. The title's features also include unique "terrain morphing," two-player simultaneous action, armed combat, a colorful selection of characters, and a plethora of impressive blasts and explosions, all set in a vast adventure environment backed by a pulsating soundtrack.

"We anticipate a great response from Sega Saturn gamers," explained Karen Schohan, director of console marketing for Interplay Productions. "With such intense gameplay, and great music from Pop Will Eat Itself, we are confident this will be at the top of gamers' wish lists."

The PlayStation version, released in December of 1995, is a contender for the number one position in the action game category, and has garnered widespread attention in game enthusiasts' magazines. The title appeared as the cover stories of four different magazines, and has already amassed several multi-paged magazine editorial in many others. This Sega Saturn version is sure to make an impact as well, since it has many great features not found in the PlayStation version. For example, the Sega Saturn version features crisp, improved textures and refined special effects for the characters' weapons and "specials."
